Save Our Wild Salmon (SOS) will be holding their annual fundraiser this Thursday, June 18,2015 at Ray’s Boathouse. We’ll be there to help them celebrate 24 years of working to collectively restore natural and sustainable salmon populations to the Pacific Northwest. 21 Progress will be hosting the Legacy of Leadership event on May 13, 2015, to honor founding executive director, Sharon Maeda. Sharon has been an advocate of social justice initiatives, teacher, trainer, and mentor for the last 47 years. As the executive director of 21 Progress, Sharon helped develop and implement programs that provide emerging social justice leaders opportunities to exercise their talents. We look forward to celebrating with Sharon this Wednesday!
EJK is ringing in the New Year with Jaye Kubo, our new tax preparer. While Randy Lake enjoys the luxuries of retirement, Jaye will lead our tax department, and work with clients to prepare both personal and business returns.
Jaye joins EJK with 20 years of experience in public accounting and private practice. She focuses on comprehensive tax planning, consulting and compliance services to corporate and partnership clients and their owners as well as not-for-profit organizations. EJK Accounting was flattered to have our very own president be honored with the Golden Boot Award at the tSB Luau last Sunday. Between rocking out to Kore Ionz at Nectar Lounge, and enjoying Pai’s food truck, EJ was pleasantly surprised when they announced her name along with two other tSB rock stars as winners of this year’s award. EJ was specifically cited for her dedication to the tSB Board of Directors, and her support in youth activities, fundraising, and sponsorship. Congratulations to EJ, and a shout out to the Service Board for your amazing programs!
